BED Distance Course Duration & Eligibility

Admission to the Madras University BEd course is open to trained in-service teachers currently employed in government-recognised schools in Tamil Nadu. Applicants must have completed D.T.Ed./D.El.Ed. or an equivalent NCTE-recognised teacher education program in face-to-face mode.

They should hold a UG degree in a relevant discipline under the 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern from a recognised university. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. Degrees may specialise in Mathematics or Science pedagogy, and those in computer-related fields may opt for Computer Science pedagogy. The program spans two years (four semesters) and must be completed within a maximum of five years from enrolment.
